The golden pheasant is a specie very appreciated in zoologic parcs and in aviaries of the world since a long time, because he was imported for the first time in England in 1740. We tried to import him in France for the hunt, but he was an undersized game.

Chrysolophus pictus
Males and females are very different. The male is very coloured and has a golden crest, while females have a brown feathers lot of more sober which looks like common pheasant. Despite bright colours of the male, golden pheasant are difficult to observe in their natural habitat. Therefore we know little about their behaviour in the wild.
